Europe Trade Representative
Paul Sinclair is with TFDI, Washington State’s trade representative firm in Europe. Paul directs Commerce’s activities in Europe through a network of in-market consultants. He also works with Commerce in identifying European companies that want to invest in Washington State. Paul and his team have worked with hundreds of Washington State companies to successfully identify business partners and business opportunities across Europe. With more than 35 years of international business and market development experience, Paul has successfully conducted business in over 30 countries in diverse market sectors from sales and market development to business partnering and acquisition.
Europe Trade Representative
Lucy Atkinson is the TFDI Project Manager for the State of Washington, working for the state’s Department of Commerce as the European Representative supporting the Aerospace, IT, Life Science, Clean Tech, and Composite sectors from her base in the UK. Lucy has a proven track record having managed all aspects of the Washington State contract on behalf of TFDI for over two years. This has included two governors’ missions with approx. 100 delegates attending each mission, her role is wide, from arranging all aspects of an events logistics, appointment identification and associated arrangements with key European organizations as well as managing trade projects on a day to day basis and providing reports. Prior to joining TFDI Lucy’s career spanned 17 years working internationally at executive level in organizations including Goldman Sachs International, Zurich Global Energy and Texaco-Heddington.
